Borders-need their pegs?

Hello

We look at the changes in our property, including tear down old carport at new, more garage providing internal access to home.

On the other side of the garage is parallel to the fence, between us and our neighbors.

The architect asked the topo survey we receive, but it also recommends that we get border pegs, put as a builder can claim this.

As he said that knowing the exact boundaries will provide us with some security.

The way I see is a gamble-we could take risks, do not get the border and perhaps existing stakes fence is the right place.

If not, it may still be in our favor. In this case, we'd probably take no action as a property so 900sqm, few meters don't bother us.

It is in favour of our neighbours, if it is about whether they want to do anything.

I've heard and read a few horror stories about fences, being in the wrong place. .

Other issues is that none of the surveyers, we spoke could quote on pegs

I am interested in your thoughts. .

Cheers
